    VMK was released on May 23, 2005 by Disney. By 2007, the game averaged 6,000 players online. However the game was completely free. This means Disney was not making an income by keeping it open. On May 21, 2008, the game closed. In 2011, someone named Amy had the goal of bringing the game back in a private server. Amy however needed funding. With me already looking at her project, I had Ron take a look at it, and eventually Vinnedge Incorporated funded Amy Games to re-develop VMK. It then became apart of Vinnedge Incorporated. September 27, 2013, the game was finally released again as MyVMK.
